Kind of critical

LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Taylor Swift says it only took one mom to tell her she was a role model and she was hooked. Swift tells the L.A. Daily News that her clean-cut image is ``kind of critical'' for her. As she puts it, ``I never, ever want to let those people down. I let that govern my life, and I'm proud of it.'' She says she does what she can to live right and to set an example. She says she considers herself ``lucky to be in this position.'' Swift says at an early age she was seduced by country music. She says she didn't relate to her friends' party-hearty attitudes. As she puts it, ``On weekends I was going to songwriter nights and guitar lessons, while my friends were going to parties and stealing their parents' alcohol.''
